The Round Up at Grace Point Pictures

Here's a few pictures from the Round Up event last night at church. Sooo fun!

Brayden riding the pony, LuLu

Ashton riding LuLu

Cheese, Ashty!

Brayden with the sqeally pig in the petting zoo

Emy LOVED riding the pony. It was her favorite!

Brayden and Emy checking out the goose (not sure what Emy sat in here but we definetly needed to clean her shorts afterwards!)

The one thing Emy didn't like... the giant slide b/c she needed these boys to help her climb up it. Her face says it all...

But, as I said before, she LOVED riding the pony. She probably rode it more times than any other child last night. This is her first posing smile to me on camera. She hopped right on and gave me a big grin, couldn't believe. I didn't have to say, "EEEE!"

Emy's other favorite thing, holding the baby bunnies. I would say, "Ok, Emy, let's go find bubbies!" "No," she said, "I holden." So, we stayed so she could keep "holden." =) They all had such a great time.

Soccer Pictures

Here's the boys soccer pictures that I took. This year, I didn't buy any from the photographer that comes to do the team pictures every year. Every year in the past, I have bought a memory mate just for the team picture and each time, they have been AWFUL! For some reason, they set up to do the pictures in the sun and all the kids are squinty faced and about half their bodies are in shade and the pictures turn out just awful. So, I decided to do my own team picture, in the shade! I also did the boys individually, earlier this week when no one was on the field. I think they all turned out great.

Fun Treasure Hunt

One day last week, Tony came home from work and decided to make a treasure hunt for the boys to do while I made dinner. He made little clues on post-it notes and made up a few rules. Ashton had to get the clue and Brayden had to read it. Anyway, You'll see of the creative way they worked together to be able to get and read the clues. Tony asked me what we could do for a prize. I suggested a box of brownie mix and tell them we will make them together after dinner. Tony was like, "No. That's dumb. What else?" Well, he couldn't think of anything else, so he settled with the brownie mix. Check out the pictures and see if they were a success or not:
The fun way to read the clue. lol.

The last clue was "Go to the thing that Emy calls a buh." They couldn't figure out what Emy calls a "buh" so they finally just asked her.

So, she points to the "buh" which is a BANANA! The boys found the treasure behind the banana rack.

I think the brownies were a big hit! They screamed, jumped and ran around with excitement. We made them together after dinner and they LOVED it. See, mommies have great ideas, too! =)

Ashton's Soccer Goal

Brayden's Soccer Clip

First Soccer Games of The Season

The boys had their first soccer game of the season today. They had so much fun! The both did great! Brayden's team lost by one goal, but everyone did a great job playing. Brayden almost got a goal and he had two great stops as goalie. Here's some pictures at his game.
Brayden has the ball!

Chad was the ref for Brayden's game! Here's Brayden throwing the ball in.

Here's Brayden as goalie. He's READY!

Brayden has the ball and his team his there to back him up! Go COUGARS!

Ashton's team did great, too. They don't keep score at this age group, but if they did, Ashton's team would have won. The score was 6-2 and Ashton scored 4 out of those 6 for his team! He was so proud. He made 3 goals in one quarter. Exciting! Here's some pictures from his game.

Ashton made a goal! He's right in front of the ball, yellow jersey.

Ashton running.

Ashton has the ball!

He was so proud! This was after his 4th goal. He raised his arms up like this everytime he made a goal. The parents thought it was hilarious. Go LIONS!

Prayer Request for Brad Bulla and family

For all of you prayer warriors out there, please add this to your prayer list. This one is close to my heart because Brad is my soon-to-be brother-in-law and he and his family are very special to us. Brad lost his son, Jed, in a car accident in August of 2005. The kid driving, Brian Stevens who was 16 at the time, was drunk and flipped his truck on the highway. Jed was thrown from the truck and killed. Brian was fine a few days later and received no punishment whatsoever for the accident and his part in it. Tomorrow is a court hearing for the charge of vehicular manslaughter that they are FINALLY charging him with. Here is a prayer request from Brad:

Hey everybody,

The vehicular homicide hearing / trial for Brian Stevens is tomorrow morning at 9 AM. I am so grateful for the support and true friendship I received from each of you through the most difficult time in my life – thank you. You are a remarkable group of people. I have another hurdle in this process facing me tomorrow, If you feel so inclined, please keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow morning – I know I am going to need them.

Thank you,
Brad

Please keep Brad, Tracy, Carol (Brad's ex wife), Carol's husband, and Brad and Carol's children: Jenny Anne, Luke, Jesse, Hannah, Kit and Allegra all in your prayers. It's been a hard road for all of them and although this is good news that something is being done about Jed's death, it's still hard for the family to have to relive the accident once more.

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Matthew 5:4
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12
"Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"says the Lord." Romans 12:19

Lifehouse Everything Skit

This skit is amazing. It was performed at last year's Winterfest in Knoxville. I was actually there to see it live, I had to take pictures there for work. Anyway, it's pretty powerful and I loved it! Phil, our pastor, just found it on www.godtube.com and sent it to Tony who sent it to me. Now I get to share it with all of you!!! Be prepared... tissues WILL be needed!

Labor Day at Kings Island

We had a crazy busy weekend; traveling to Cincinnati and then to Indiana for Amanda's wedding, then back to Cincinnati again. Shew! We're exhausted! But, we had fun seeing all the family and we spent Labor Day at Kings Island. We went with Lindsey, Kylee, Heather, Jacob and Heather's friend, Matt, and his 2 kids: Kelsey (3) and Austin (2). It was so much fun and the kids had a ball. Brayden grew 2 inches since we came last in June and is now tall enough to ride the Vortex! It's his favorite ride and made Tony take him twice. Tony says he must be getting old because his stomach can't take much more roller coasters. LOL! Emy loved seeing all her favorite characters, Dora and Boots and her new tv favorite, Spongebob. We saw Spongebob first thing and she wasn't afraid to touch him! So, who knew that Spongebob would take her fear away. Ashton loves the Beastie and could ride it all day long. Won't be long until his turn on the Vortex comes!
