First Field Trip

So, homeschool has been going great these past couple of weeks.. getting them into the routine of what the year will be like and doing review work. The boys are so into it and really love it. Praise God! We went to the Creative Discovery Museum last Thursday with a few homeschool moms and stay-at-home mom's from church. Our first field trip of the year! We're planning on doing field trips or get togethers at least once a month. So fun!

The temporary exhibit is Clifford and this is Emy's favorite part. "I want to go to Clifford's house again!" she always tells me.

Ashton is the mailman drawing me some mail.

Making objects with colorful magnets.

Here's the whole group (minus 3 kids; one is hiding and 2 had to leave a little early). We had 22 kids total ranging from ages 4 months to 7 years old! So fun!

KidStuf and Round Up 2008

Welcome Back, KidStuf!

KidStuf is back from it's summer break and we really enjoyed it! New t-shirts, new skits, new virtues and a new theme! FUN FUN FUN!

It was Round Up Sunday as well as KidStuf kick-off! Here's my three gettin' down to the music!

YEEEE-HAWWWWW! (Guns? At church?! Yep, we certainly are a DIFFERENT kind of church!)

Round Up Pics...
Here's some fun pictures from the Round Up... some of my three and our friends!

Emy's favorite things... 1) Puppies 2) Porsies (aka Horses). She was so excited for the pony rides that she didn't nap. I really hoped she would b/c I knew we would be up late for the Round Up, but she just sang and sang and sang. For 3 hours! What did she sing about? PINK horsies. I told Tony he better call the petting zoo that was coming and make sure they had a PINK horse for the princess! lol.

Faith Griffin with the rooster.

Emy loved this rooster. Fear? Nope, not this girl. She was born to be with animals!

Braxton came to visit and was able to come too!

Poor Emy... devestated that the pony needed to go home. Poor baby. She only rode it once because she spent the whole time in the cage with the rooster. The owners fell in love with Emy and told her she can come visit them anytime she wants to see the ponies.

Emy Sings in the Car on the Way Home From South Carolina

This is typical Emy... singing about whatever comes to her mind... notice Brayden in the beginning... he can't stand how cute she is and he needs to kiss her!

Pictures from Myrtle Beach, SC

July 25th-August 2nd - Myrtle Beach Vacation

Brayden Climbs a 34 Ft Tall Wall in Myrtle Beach

He tried this once before (he and Ashton both did) and they both got scared when they were half way up and begged to come down. So, the next day, he told me he really wanted to try it again (Ashton did NOT, hahaha). So, here he is, climbing all the way up with no problems. What a big boy! (sorry about the sideways video... I'm a photographer NOT a videographer!)

Tennessee Vols SMOKEY!!!

Smokey, the Tennessee Vols Mascot, came to Grace Point to visit! Lots of kids were able to show up and meet him! What a great time!

Tony, Brayden (a little scared of Smokey), Ashton and Emy all posed for a picture (Tony is hiding Stone - good friends' of ours baby).

GO VOLS!

Ashton Can Ride A Bike!

Now that we have a nice area to ride bikes, we spent a few hours outside today after church. It's been way past time for Ashton to learn to ride without training wheels, but before moving here we didn't have anywhere to ride. So, I told him to let's try it out today. He was very worried and scared and cried about it. I had to give him a "chill" lecture and released him out of frustration (b/c he was crying about how scared he was while riding). Once I let go, off he went on HIS OWN! I couldn't believe it and neither could he. He stopped crying and started laughing. He rode a bike first try! Who does that?!?! Now, he LOVES riding and told me that sometimes you just need to practice it even when you're scared. hahaha. He even taught himself how to start off by himself (Brayden couldn't do that until a year later after he learned!) about an hour later.

Here he is, riding like a champ!

Mr. Cool Brayden loves riding his bike, too!

Uh, oh... someone else is ready to ride!!!

We LOVE Blueberry Picking!

There's a local vineyard that we LOVE going to to pick blueberries. We've been a couple times now, but here's pics from our first time with Jason and Michelle. We were so shocked that our kids LOVED it so much! Brayden even said, (get this!) "Mom! Blueberry picking is even more fun than playing video games!" Amazing! Too bad blueberries aren't in season all year round! =) Oh well, we'll enjoy them while they are!

More Pics From The Beach

Here's a few more pictures from the beach. I've got lots more (that I took with my small point-n-shoot camera) that I will post on here soon.

We had dinner at Dixie Stampede and Emy LOVED the horses and princesses! The boys loved watching "Skeeter" be hilarious. Ashton loved the food (of course) most of all.

A couple pics from the beach

We just got back from Myrtle Beach last night. We were there for a week with Linda, Wayne, Tara, Kenny, Braxton (and little baby Vivian in the womb). So fun! I'll get to the other pictures later, but here's a couple (as well as a couple others that I decorated my page with). Poor Emy did NOT want to take pictures (a week of no naps... can you blame her?) After a great bribe of candy, she put her big cheese on for these pictures. You can't tell it, but in our "feet" picture, she is screaming histerically. Pretty funny memories...
