Chattanooga Zoo

On Saturday we went to the Chattanooga Zoo for a birthday party. The Zoo is a lot smaller than the Knoxville Zoo and definetly the Cincinnati Zoo, but we still had fun!

All the kids at the party

Riding the carousel

Jacob Lee and Ashton

Tony and Brayden rode after everyone else... we had a little incident with Brayden. We left him at one of the exhibits - we thought he was in the front of the line and didn't realize he wasn't with us until I looked for him on the carousel. Tony ran back to the other exhibits and found him... he was devestated and so scared. He had wondered off from the group (playing with monkey sounds) and when he came out, we were gone. He was thrilled to be able to ride the carousel though and he was safe and sound, praise God.

Emy loves animals so much. Here she is loving on this goat.

Interesting... the kids were so excited these turtles were riding piggy-back...

Happy Birthday to Me!

Welp, this is it... my last year of the 20's. Do I feel any different? Nope. My secret? To still look like I'm 14 years old... to get carded at rated R movies...and to get the looks from the people at walmart who see me with my three kids and think "Oh, that poor teenager has all those kids!" Getting older is still okay for me... as long as I'm not 30 yet! =)

Kissing on my favorite girl at yummy Olive Garden!

Brayden's First Soccer Game of the Season

Brayden has his first soccer game on Sunday (yep, my birthday!). He did such a great job on defense! The team lost, but they did great. Here's a couple shots I took of him playing:

On defense

Cute Emy

Emy took this of Ashton... great job, huh?

Ooops, missed that one and they scored a goal! (he was a little mad, but got over it pretty quick)

Funny game face...

Go, Brayden, GO!!

Apple Valley Orchard Field Trip

Today we went to the Apple Valley Orchard for our September field trip. A lot of families got sick and weren't able to make it this time. Emy was sick with bronchitis all last week and the stomach virus earlier this week. Thankfully, she was all healthy (as were the boys) and we were ready to go this morning!

Riding in Daddy's car and loving it! It was a little chilly this morning, but warmed up when we got there.

Storytime with Miss Apple-Bee - learning all about Johnny Appleseed

Storytime...

Thanks for the awesome story and delicious apples, Miss Apple-Bee and Miss Apple-Butter!

All the kids, on our wagon ride through the Apple orchard.

Here we are!

Inside the cidar room, learning all about how apple cider is made. We each got an apple cup with fresh made cidar in it. YUMMY!

Visit to Hampton, TN

Last Friday, we went to Hampton, TN - about 3 hours away from here. This is where Wayne grew up and his older sister, Betty Jo, still lives there. We had a great visit with Betty Jo and Red and a delicious homemade lunch (or dinner as they call it). We also went to visit a sweet lady named Edith and her daughter, June, who have always been dear to Wayne's heart. Check out these fun pictures from our great day in Hampton.

Ashton and Emy on the swing

Brayden and Ashton wanted everyone to watch them act out a lightsaber fight scene. =)

Emy and Betty Jo - Emy LOVED giving out her special hugs!

Emy loving on Red, big squeeze!

Emy LOVES being thrown up high in the sky. Perhaps we will do gymnastics one day... =)

Adorable Faces

Ashton's Baseball Game last night

Ashton had a great game last night. They won 17-5. Go Nationals! Here's some fun pictures of him at the game.

First at bat and hearing the cheers from Papaw, Brayden and Emy - "YAY ASHTON!"

Waiting for the kid to hit the ball, Ashton made LOTS of funny faces - this was only one of them.

Way to scoop up that ball!

He tagged the runner going to first. OUT!
