My Publix Shopping List for 3/24-3/30/10

Well, looks like it's just Publix this week. I am in the need of chicken, so I may end up getting some from Bi-Lo (it's BOGO this week, making them $2.24 lb). Combined with my $7/$75 coupon, it may be what I need to do. I'll wait until next week's ad to see if there is a better sale or not. So, here's my list for Publix this week:

Lay's Potato Chips BOGO at $3.99 ($1.99 each)

Hellman's Mayo BOGO at $4.89 ($2.44 each)
-$1 Hellman's Mayo Publix Store Coupon (Unilever mailer)
-$1 Hellman's Mayo Printable (no longer available)
(use BOTH together, makes it $0.44 each!)

Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese $1 each
-$1.25/3 Jello Coupon Booklet
(makes it $0.58 each when you buy 3)

Caprisuns 3/$5
-$1 Caprisun Kraft Booklet from Food Lion

El Monterrey Taquitos 20 ct $4.99 (sale price for the month - April 2, 2010)
-$1/1 El Monterrey Taquitos
**(I ordered 20 coupons...so this will be a huge purchase compared to what I am use to! I LOVE these and they are freezer foods, so I'm stocking up. I've been paying $6.99 each at Walmart randomly when I have gone there, so this is a great deal for me.)

Food Lion Cheese Deal (last week)

Wow, what a week! I went to Food Lion about 5 times! The cheese deal was that great! Here's what I did:

Promo: Buy 5 Participating Products, save $5 instantly

(4) Kraft Shredded Cheese $2.50 each
(1) Kraft Singles Cheese slices 12 oz. $2.19 each

Coupons used:
-$5 (promo)
-$2.50 - BOGO Kraft Cheese blinky (blinkies were with the Kraft Cheese!)
-$2.50 - BOGO Kraft Cheese blinky
-$1 Kraft Singles from Kraft Coupon Booklet found in Food Lion

Total: $1.19 plus tax!

We did this 5 times this past week. Our freezer is stocked FULL!

**You know what's funny? I had to buy Kraft Singles at Target last week for $2.25! I was totally out and thought one pack would get me through until a sale. Then, Tony asked if we had anymore cubed cheese? We didn't and WHAM! The Lord gave us a shower of a sale on CHEESE! With this sale and the FREE Borden cheese coupon that I printed 5 times, we are set on cheese for a good long time. Thank you, Lord for always supplying what we need!

My Target and Toys R Us Deals 3/23/10

The kids and I went to Chattanooga early yesterday morning. We had a good time in Target until Toys R Us opened (I thought they opened at 9am, but they actually opened at 10am). I also stopped at Starbucks to get a hot chocolate and got a free blueberry muffin because it was FREE PASTRY DAY. I never go to Starbucks because it's so expensive, but I thought I would get a nice treat this one time.

Ok, so here's the deals I found at Target:

(4) Gillette Body Washes $1.79 each (regular price at Chattanooga store, $1.99 at other stores)
(4) Campbell's Cooking Soups $0.75 each (sale price)

Coupons used:
-(2) $4/2 ANY Gillette Body Wash PG 2/21/10
-(2) $1/2 Campells Cooking Soups Printable

I paid $0.16 plus tax!

**Some stores will not allow overage, but my cashier did. If your cashier will not give you overage, according to Target coupon policy, they will adjust the coupon value down to the amount of the item, making the item free.

TOYS R US:

YAY! Our reason for going was to get the awesome deal on the Toy Story movies. I had a couple Toys R Us coupons to combine with it, so it really turned out great for us. I also found a great deal for Strawberry Shortcake, an excellent bday gift for Emy in June. Yes, I do shop early. I like to find deals and save them for occasions, like Christmas shopping in June in the clearance aisles!

I bought:

(2) Toy Story Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack $16.99 each (sale price when you buy both TS & TS2 together)
(2) Toy Story 2 Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack $16.99 each (sale price when you buy both TS & TS2 together)
(1) Strawberry Shortcake Pool Set $11.99 (clearance)
(1) Strawberry Shortcake Figure $4.99 (clearance)
(1) Strawberry Shortcake Figure w/ Purse $5.49 (FREE when you buy $15 worth of Strawberry Shortcake)

Total: $84.94

Coupons used:
-$5/$25 Toys R Us coupon (home mailer)
-$3/3 Toys R Us birthday club coupon (Brayden's bday is next week)
-$10 Printable Toy Story Blu-ray
-$10 Printable Toy Story Blu-ray
-$10 Printable Toy Story 2 Blu-ray
-$10 Printable Toy Story 2 Blu-ray
-$5/$20 any Strawberry Shortcake Purchase from Hasbro SS 3/21/10

Total: $31.94 plus tax (makes EACH item I bought $4.56!!!)

Note: **The $10 Toy Story coupons are for upgrading from VHS's that we have of both movies. I was able to print 2 per computer. I got one set for us, one set to sell on ebay and will most likely make $20-$40, making all this FREE!

My Easter Candy Find...

Michelle told me about a GREAT deal on Easter candy the other day! We were so blessed to be able to get to Rite Aid last night before they closed and wiped them all out of Hershey's candy! Rite Aid has these awesome coupons available: $3/$15 and $5/25, plus many more that you can use for your transactions.

Here's what I did:

Hershey's Bagged Candy $1.99 each
-$2/3 Hershey's Printable
-$2/3 Hershey's In Ad Coupon

Transaction #1:
13 bags of Hershey's $1.99 each
-$5/$25**
-$3/$15**
-(4) $2/3 Hershey's Printables
-(4) $2/3 Hershey's in ad Coupon

Total: $1.87 plus tax
**The girl took both of my $/$$ coupons. I asked her if they allowed this, and she just scanned them to see if it would work. It did, so she allowed it.

Since the candy was such a GREAT deal, I went to Amy's to print more coupons! Then, I went back and did the deal again. I only had (2) $3/$15 coupons, though. This time, a different cashier was there and she wouldn't allow me to use both $/$$ coupons in the same order. I was supposed to do 2 more transactions, but she just did this for me since my order total was at least $30 ($15+ $15 for both $3/$15 coupons). She said they just had a meeting about it last week (I guess my previous cashier missed that meeting).

Transaction #2:
15 Bags of Hershey's Candy $1.99 each
-$3/$15
-$3/$15
-(5) $2/3 Hershey's Printables
-(5) $2/3 Hershey's in ad Coupons

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

We had a fun filled Saturday morning! PJ day at Chick Fila with tons of friends and then off to Dr. Seuss' birthday party at Cleveland State. It was so much fun and each child got a bag of goodies and my favorite, COUPONS! We rarely go out to eat or ice cream without coupons, so it's always great to be able to do fun things AND get coupons to do more fun things! Here's some fun pics from the party.

Emy is "meowing" of course!

Sorry it's been sooo long...

I've been extremely busy here lately. No blog posts for months. Yikes, sorry about that. I'm going to try to be better and post deals I am planning on doing, or ideas for you out there at home. I get so many people asking me how are you doing it and what are you doing and can you help me? Well, maybe this will help with some of those questions.

First off, two sites that I get my deals from are: www.hip2save.com and www.southernsavers.com

I will still post pictures and things about our family too. So, welcome back to our blog!
